BWP Welcomes PCC Funding Announcement

We’re pleased to hear that we are to receive £10,000 from Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Uplift Funding 2021/2 and additional funding, as announced by Nottinghamshire’s newly-elected Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Caroline Henry, on 4 June.

In total, PCC Caroline Henry allocated more than £1.8million of extra funding from the Government to enhance support for victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence across Nottinghamshire. The funding will help specialist domestic abuse and sexual violence support services, such as BWP, manage additional demands they’re experiencing as a result of the pandemic.

Our CEO, Colette Byrne, said: “This is welcome, and much needed news for people affected by Domestic Abuse across the whole of Nottinghamshire. We are very grateful for this funding to enable us to support more survivors of Domestic Abuse through their recovery journey.”
