Student dancers take welcome steps
Following on from their unique dance event which raised an amazing £450 for BWP in February, the Trent Tigerlilies have offered to do some more fund-raising for us.
Nottingham Trent University’s (NTU’s) burlesque dance group, the Tigerlilies are now approaching the last show of the academic year and have very kindly offered to run a raffle during the interval from which the proceeds will come to BWP.
The group, which is run as one of the University’s sports clubs, chatted with their Social and Wellbeing Officers to help find a suitable charity to which to donate and we are absolutely delighted that they chose BWP.
To help them raise as much as possible from the raffle we are asking people if they will be prepared to donate prizes for the event which is on May 4, so just around the corner.
Any individual or company willing to help is asked to contact BWP by email firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling our admin number 01773 718555.
Sarah Dagley, Business and Fundraising Manager for BWP, says: “When the Tigerlilies first contacted us we were very surprised and delighted to hear from them. It is positive to see that diverse groups recognise the work we do and that they want to support us.
“We depend very heavily on donations and the amount they raised was terrific. To hear they are helping again is wonderful and we hope people will help us to help them by donating raffle prizes.”
