Supporting White Ribbon UK

White Ribbon UK is the leading charity ending male violence against women by engaging with men and boys to make a stand against violence.

Every year Broxtowe Women’s Project supports the global White Ribbon movement in spreading their message to end male violence against women once and for all.

Their mission is for all men to fulfil the White Ribbon Promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.

White Ribbon Day takes place on 25 November each year. The theme for 2023 is #ChangeTheStory – encouraging individuals and organisations to make consistent choices and actions for women and girls, so that they may live their lives free from the fear of violence.

From 25 November (White Ribbon Day) to 10 December (Human Rights Day), we mark the 16 Days of Action with our Super 16 Challenge and Super 16 Business Challenge. This is a chance to raise funds for Broxtowe Women’s Project and increase awareness of the White Ribbon campaign.

In 2023, CBT Therapist, Ted Bradshaw, released a series of videos highlighting emotional abuse and manipulative behaviour throughout the 16 days – view the series here.
