Charity thanks local businesses and residents for generous support
Thank you to everyone who supported our Family Fundraising afternoon in Beeston last week.
Our CEO, Colette Byrne said: “We were delighted that so many people joined us at the Beeston Canalside Heritage Centre on 13 August. It was lovely to meet local families, and see so many children taking part in our Alice in Wonderland themed craft activities.”
Nottinghamshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Caroline Henry, showed her support for BWP by joining us for an afternoon tea.
Local businesses including Levi, Derby Quad, The Beauty Station Sutton in Ashfield, Tan 2 Mission, Baileys Hair Salon, The Little Kitchen, Hocus Pocus Crystals and Snuggles and Kisses generously donated prizes for a raffle which raised hundreds of pounds for BWP on the day.
Colette added: “A huge thank you to the hard working team at Beeston Canalside Heritage Centre for hosting our event, and to everyone who so kindly donated raffle prizes, and took part in the fundraising on the day. All of the money raised will go directly towards helping women, children and young people affected by Domestic Abuse.”
