Trio to tackle triathlon for BWP
We often say that our staff and trustees go above and beyond to support Broxtowe Women’s Project (BWP) and three of them are set to prove it again by taking part in a sprint triathlon.
Staff members Sarah Dagley and Hannah Albis and Trustee Sarah Hartshorne have signed up for the event in which they will have to swim 400m, do a 20km bike ride and a 5km run.
The trio are currently in training for the event which takes place over the border in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire on July 22.
They are facing this challenge to raise funds for BWP, which depends almost entirely on donations to run its services.
Commenting, Sarah Dagley, Business and Fundraising Manager for BWP and one of those taking part says: “All three of us do a bit of running but the cycling and particularly the swimming will be a real test of our stamina! We hope people admire us for having a go and as a result sponsor us!”
To support them and their families and friends who are also taking part and to donate to the very worthy cause please go to their just giving page at https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/bwptri
